Leader of one

Leadership is a word that gets tossed around a lot with little regard for its purpose or meaning. The word leader often brings up a mental image of a person sitting atop a pyramid of people. What this visualization lacks is the realization that leadership is not a position among people, but rather a virtue found within the self. All too often individuals with the title leader are just managers in leaders clothing. The main difference between the two is simple, a manager navigates the roads well known with a focus on maintaining the status quo, where as a leader inspires new roads to be forged for the betterment of all.

Today be the leader of your own life. True leaders require no organization, following or pyramid to be a top of. They lead by the example of how they lead themselves. You have a choice today to either follow the road and maintain the status quo, or forge a new path toward your greatest love story, the love of yourself and inspire others to do the same.
